Tags are free-form labels you attach to prospects to group them in ways that go beyond a single status. A lead status tells you where a prospect is in your sales process; a tag tells you something about the prospect itself. You might tag houses as Solar Panel Present, Pool, Dog, or Gated — anything your team needs to know or filter on later. Tags have an optional color, can be created by users with the right permissions, and are applied directly to prospects from the prospect detail screen. Manage your tag library from Settings → Tags.

Create a tag

Creating and editing tags requires the Can manage tags permission. Owners always have this permission. Admins and reps need it granted explicitly by an owner or admin.
1

Open Tags settings

Go to Settings → Tags.
2

Click Add tag

Click Add tag.
3

Enter a label

Type the tag name. Tag names are displayed as-is on prospects and in filter menus, so use the same capitalization and wording your team will recognize.
4

Choose a color (optional)

Select a color for the tag. The color appears on the tag chip wherever it’s displayed, making tags visually easy to spot in a long prospect list.
5

Save

Click Save. The tag is now available to apply to any prospect.

Edit a tag

1

Find the tag

Go to Settings → Tags and locate the tag you want to update.
2

Open it

Click the edit icon next to the tag.
3

Update the label or color

Change the name, color, or both. All prospects already carrying this tag will immediately reflect the updated name and color.
4

Save

Click Save to apply your changes.

Delete a tag

1

Find the tag

Go to Settings → Tags and locate the tag you want to remove.
2

Delete it

Click the edit icon, then select Delete. Confirm when prompted.
Deleting a tag removes it from the tag library and from every prospect it was applied to. This action cannot be undone.

Apply tags to a prospect

Tags are applied from the prospect’s detail screen, not from Settings.
1

Open the prospect

Tap or click a prospect pin on the map, or find the prospect in your list, to open their detail panel.
2

Add a tag

In the prospect detail panel, find the Tags field and select one or more tags from the dropdown. Tags are saved automatically.

Filter prospects by tag

Once your prospects are tagged, you can narrow the map and list views to show only prospects with a specific tag.
1

Open the filter panel

On the map or list view, open the Filters menu.
2

Select a tag

Choose one or more tags from the tag filter. The map and list update immediately to show only matching prospects.
3

Clear the filter

To remove the filter, open Filters again and deselect the tags, or click Clear filters.
Combine tag filters with status filters to build precise views — for example, all prospects tagged Solar Panel Present whose status is Callback.
