Complete onboarding
After signing in for the first time, LeadScout walks you through a short setup wizard. You’ll move through six steps:
- Account setup — Enter your first name, last name, mobile phone number, company name, and billing email. Agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy, then tap Continue.
- Current knockers — Tell LeadScout who in your company is currently knocking doors (just you, dedicated canvassers, sales reps, or a combination).
- CRM integration — Indicate whether you have a CRM you’d like to integrate with LeadScout.
- Service types — Select the types of residential services you provide (roofing, solar, pest control, political cause, and more).
- Lead statuses — Review and customize your default lead status labels. These statuses appear on pins across the map, so set them to match your team’s language.
- Invite your team — Add teammates by email before finishing setup (or skip this step and invite them later from Settings → Team).
3
Invite your team
If you skipped team invites during onboarding, you can send them from the dashboard at any time.
- Go to Settings → Team.
- Click Invite member.
- Enter the teammate’s email address and choose their role.
- Click Send invite. They’ll receive an email with a link to create their account and join your company workspace.
Invited teammates use the same plan as your company. Each seat counts toward your per-user billing.
4
Create your first territory
Territories let you divide a neighborhood or region into defined areas and assign them to specific reps.
- Open the Map tab in the dashboard or mobile app.
- Tap the Territories button.
- Draw a boundary around the area you want to assign.
- Give the territory a name and assign it to a rep (or leave it unassigned).
- Save the territory.
5
Add your first prospect on the map
A prospect is a pin on the map that represents a property you’ve visited or plan to visit.
- Open the Map tab.
- Tap and hold on any property to drop a pin at that location. LeadScout automatically reverse-geocodes the address in the background.
- The prospect detail sheet slides up from the bottom. From here you can add the homeowner’s name, phone number, notes, and any tags.
To pin multiple properties quickly, enable Turbo Pin mode from the map toolbar. Every tap drops a pin without opening the detail sheet first.
6
Record a knock
Recording a knock logs that you’ve visited a property and captures the outcome.
- Tap an existing pin on the map to open the prospect detail sheet.
- Tap Record knock (or the knock icon at the top of the sheet).
- Choose the outcome — for example, Not home, Not interested, Hot lead, or Appointment set.
- Add any notes about the visit, then save.
