What a territory contains
Each territory stores a name, a polygon shape (a series of geographic coordinates), and an optional assignment to one team member. The territory list shows the assigned rep’s name and initials, the creation date, and a quick link to view the territory on the map.Creating a territory
Territories are drawn directly on the map so the shape matches the streets and boundaries you have in mind.1
Go to the Map
Click Map in the left sidebar.
2
Start drawing
Click New Territory in the map toolbar (or navigate to Territories and click New Territory — both routes open the map in drawing mode).
3
Draw the polygon
Click on the map to place each corner of your territory. Each click adds a point. Close the shape by clicking back on the first point, or double-clicking the last point.
4
Name the territory
A dialog prompts you to enter a name for the territory (for example, “North District” or “Downtown Block 4”). Type the name and click Create.
Assigning a territory to a rep
After creating a territory, you can assign it to any team member. The assignment appears on the territory card in the list and in the detail panel.1
Open the territory detail panel
In the Territories list, click the territory row. The detail panel opens on the right (or as a bottom sheet on mobile).
2
Select an assignee
Find the Assigned To field and select a rep from the dropdown. The rep’s name and initials display on the territory card immediately.
3
Save
Changes save automatically when you select a rep.
Assigning a territory to a rep does not automatically assign all prospects inside it to that rep. Prospect assignments are managed separately on each prospect record.
Viewing territories on the map
All territories for your team are visible on the Map view as shaded polygon overlays. Each polygon is labeled with the territory name. To jump to a specific territory from the Territories list, click the map icon () on the territory row. The map opens and zooms to that territory’s boundaries. Deep links from other parts of the app automatically open the map focused on the relevant territory.Editing a territory
To rename a territory or reassign it, open the detail panel from the Territories list and update the Name or Assigned To fields. Changes take effect immediately. To reshape the polygon, open the map while the territory is in focus and use the edit controls to move, add, or remove polygon points.Deleting a territory
1
Find the territory
Go to Territories in the left sidebar. Use the search bar to filter by name if needed.
2
Click the delete icon
Click the trash icon () on the right side of the territory row.
3
Confirm
A confirmation prompt asks you to confirm. Click Delete to proceed. The territory is removed from the list and the map.
