# Billing and plans: Scout Buddy, Pro, and Scale

> Compare LeadScout's per-seat plans, understand what's included in each tier, manage your subscription, and control property lookup costs.

LeadScout bills per seat on a monthly or annual cycle. Every plan starts with a 30-day free trial — no credit card required. When your trial ends you choose a plan, enter payment details, and your team keeps going without interruption. Only the account **owner** can view and manage billing. Access your billing settings from **Settings → Billing**.

## Annual billing

Switching to annual billing saves approximately **20%** compared to paying month to month.

Annual plans are billed as a single charge for the full year upfront.

## Free trial

All plans start with a **30-day free trial**. No credit card is required to start your trial. At the end of the trial period you'll be prompted to select a plan and add payment details to continue.

## Upgrade or downgrade

    Go to **Settings → Billing**. You must be the account owner to access this page.

    Review the plans shown on the billing page and click **Upgrade** or **Downgrade** next to the plan you want to switch to.

    Review the pricing summary and confirm. Plan changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

  Switching from monthly to annual billing is always available from the billing page and takes effect at the next renewal date.

## Property lookup add-ons

Property lookups are available on the **Pro** plan and provide homeowner address and property data for a pinned prospect.

* **300 lookups per month** are included with every Pro seat
* Additional lookups are billed at **\$0.05 per lookup**
* You can set a **monthly budget cap** from the billing settings to limit how much your team spends on additional lookups

To configure your budget cap:

    Scroll to the **Property Lookups** section of the billing page.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set a monthly cap">
    Enter the maximum dollar amount you want to allow for additional lookups in a given month. Once the cap is reached, additional lookups are disabled until the next billing cycle.

    Click **Save** to apply the cap.
